Planet of Beauty and Delights

Hark fellow travellers of the Universe

I come with umbrella-hand and webbed feet.

Your Earthling rain falls slow and soft

Like the gentle tears of the Aquatic Angels.

I feel the faint shiver of a cool clime

While a soft wind gently caresses my face.

What wonderous shades of blue and grey

Fill your sky and reach to your heavens;

Reflected in your tumultuous oceans,

Which are forever churning and ponding your shores.

Your fiery star warms your planet and splashes glorious colours across your heavens,

While your lands stretch with breath taking hues of greens and browns.

What a splendid and wonderous planet you have the pleasure of inhabiting.

It’s such a pity Earthlings struggle to connect actions to consequence,

Blind to the long-term implications of your actions.

So quick to replace your peaceful disagreements with impetuous rage.

Come, let us walk in your rain so I might enjoy your banter while eating pastries.

For yours is such a planet of beauty and delights.
